Issue of Disaster Management Becomes Material of Presidential Candidate Debate, Prabowo's Party Agrees

The National Winning Body (BPN) Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno agreed that the disaster management issue was used as a debate material for the presidential candidate and vice presidential candidates by the General Election Commission (KPU). Because, the people are considered necessary to know the way their prospective leaders handle disasters.

"I think it's good. Because the debate needed by the community is very good. It produces good thoughts," said BPN Chair Prabowo-Sandi, Djoko Santoso at Kopi Bos, Jalan Asem Baris Raya, Tebet, South Jakarta, Thursday.

The member of the Board of Trustees of the Gerindra Party also believes that good thinking in handling disasters will be created by the Prabowo-Sandi Couple. "We can give birth to good thoughts about how we deal with disasters. So I think it's good," said the former TNI Commander.

He also considered early education for the people of Indonesia about disaster mitigation needed. Because, people understand that they must behave in the face of disasters such as tsunamis and earthquakes with such education.

"The first special education must be reproduced, which as far as I know at the University of Defense, there is already a management disaster in other areas, I think it is still necessary, and also such exercises as well as public education," he said.
