The General Chairman of the Gerindra Party said, some of his friends had been victims of the tsunami which was allegedly due to the activity of the Mount Anak Krakatau. "We are very shocked, very concerned. There are some of my acquaintances, there are also some Gerindra members. We express our condolences over the incident," Prabowo said in a written statement on Sunday.

Prabowo hopes that a subsequent disaster or tsunami will not occur again in all regions of Indonesia.
